Dr. Micah S. Lane began serving as the Pastor-teacher of Socastee Baptist Church in July of 2006, and has been a pastor for more than thirty years. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Charleston Southern University and the Master of Divinity degree from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas. He also earned a Doctor of Ministry in Evangelism and Church Growth from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. Micah and his wife Lyn have three children and two grandchildren.

Jonathan has been serving as the Youth Director since April 2026. He was born and raised right here in Myrtle Beach, SC and is a graduate of Socastee High School. He triple-majored at Newberry College for his Bachelor Degrees and he earned a Master’s Degree at Coastal Carolina University (CCU). Jonathan has led ministry movements at Newberry College and CCU including Campus Bible Studies, FCA, and Young Life. He is an aspiring CPA and is engaged to marry his fiancé, Sierra Hummell, this year.

Lora has been serving as secretary (administrative assistant) at Socastee Baptist Church since Oct, 2021.

I was born in West Viriginia & grew up across the Ohio River in South Point, Ohio. I joined the Air Force in 1984, where I met my husband Terry. We were married in 1986, had a son, Erik, in 1988. We lived in South Dakota, California & after Terry’s retirement Columbus, Ohio. We moved to Mytrle Beach in 2019. Terry & Erik are now in heaven with Jesus. A few of my favorite scriptures are Proverbs 3: 5-6, Joshua 1:9, 1 Peter 5:7.

Andre has been supporting the church for many years and is a member of the Choir as well.
